HGV Driver Training
Driver CPC delivered by qualified professionals, driver training B+E, C, C+E by qualified and registered instructors. Fork truck, telehandling, lorry loader/crane training. Health and safety.
Driver CPC is for LGV and PCV drivers who drive in the UK. It has evolved from the EU Directive 2003/59, which is in place to improve the knowledge and skills of professional drivers.
The legislation is split into two parts:
- New LGV and PCV drivers must obtain the initial qualification alonside their vocational licence which enables them to use their licence professionally.
- Existing LGV and PCV drivers must undertake periodic training, which involves undertaking 35 hours of training every 5 years.
Driver CPC came into force on 10th September 2008 for PCV drivers and the 10th September 2009 for LGV drivers.
